RACHAEL HARPER

ABOUT ME
Rachael grew up in a very musical family, from singing at church every Sunday to performing in her first dance recital at age six! Music was highly encouraged by her mother who competed in and won the 1997 Miss Texas Paegent and later went on to release an album in pursuit of a music career.
By age seven, she caught the theatre bug with her first performance as a lost boy in Peter Pan. Since then, she has performed in over 25 theatre productions across Texas both as an actress/singer/mover as well as various backstage work, was a lead character in a Christian TV Mini-Series, has performed on live television, multiple opera and theatre showcases with various colleges, an in-person masterclass with Grammy Winner Larry Gatlin, and has just recently been accepted into the Permian Basin Opera.

Growing up in a small town in West Texas, she tried to take advantage of any theatrical resources she could find. Attending a private school that lacked theatre, choir, band, or anything else music-related forced her to look elsewhere. Auditioning at Community theatres, talent shows, joining her local "Pickwick" classes, and more.

Growing up not being able to afford voice or dance lessons, she didn't begin official vocal training until 2021 when she audited voice lessons and a theatre class at the local college during a gap year. She began teaching voice lessons Fall of 2023 and absolutely loves it. Now a sophomore Music Major at The University of Texas of the Permian Basin, Rachael is actively on her way to moving away from small-town West Texas to the Big Apple, where she hopes to pursue professional theatre on and off Broadway.
